Sharing a few things that have caught my eye these past few weeks. Small rituals, daydreams and objects taking my fancy.
Exhibition: Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art at the V&A
Surreal, provocative, and technically masterful. One of the most exciting exhibitions in London right now.
Food: Cherries
In season. Dark, glossy, and at their absolute peak. Regular indulgence for anti inflammatory compounds and antioxidants.
Mood: Bare Nails
Giving my nails a break from gel manicures and embracing the clean, naked look for now.
Book: Discord by Jeremy Cooper
An intimate novel about the fractious year long collaboration between composer Rebekah Rosen and musician, Evie Bennet. Alternating between their two very different perspectives, it explores the very human creative tensions, personal resonances and dissonances that arise when two artists collaborate together.
Travel: Cook Islands. Currently living in my daydreams
Body: Augustinus Bader SPF Body
Exceptionally rich and effective. Easily the best body product I’ve used in years.
Luxury Item: Dior Trench Coat
The impeccable beige cotton and silk gabardine version. Timeless, practical, and quietly luxurious.
Soundtrack: Tom Jones , “It’s Not Unusual”
Irresistibly confident and stylish. A perfect slice of swagger from 1965 that still sounds completely current.
Film: Tuner
Staring Leo Woodall and Dustin Hoffman. Delivers a compelling, layered performance in this atmospheric drama.
Trend piece: Polo Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Cap
Capturing the spirit of the current Wimbledon season with perfect sporty elegance.
