I have spent the last few years watching London’s streets turn into a sea of beige, taupe, and greige. From the oversized coats to the perfectly neutral trainers, it sometimes feels like we’ve all agreed to dress like very expensive furniture.
I’ll be honest, I got sucked in too. There’s something soothing about a clean palette, especially after the chaos of the last few years. Neutrals feel safe. They photograph well. They go with everything. They look expensive.
But lately, I’ve been craving something else.
I keep noticing little sparks of colour creeping back in. A bright red bag, a pop of cobalt lighting up an all white look, or head-to-toe emerald. It feels like a quiet rebellion.
So here’s my question, are we finally ready to move on from greige?
Maybe it’s time to let a little colour back into our wardrobes. A pop of colour can be elegant, intentional, and still feel like you.
What do you think, are you still riding the neutral wave, or has colour started calling your name again?
