I was lucky enough to attend the Drapers Power List last Thursday, which celebrated this year’s most influential people in fashion with Black Vanilla Cupcakes providing the chocolate and cherry brandy canapé cupcakes for the event.
So who is the most influential person, (drumroll) Drapers announced the winner as chief executive of ASOS; Nick Roberts.
Nick has managed to build an e-tail that everyone in fashion now pays attention to. His philosophy was to replicate a fashion version of Amazon and in an economic climate where most fashion businesses are struggling ASOS have reported an increase in growth of 40%.
