Kings Cross pop-up store
J.Crew is here in London! Now I don’t know if I am happy about this or not as the plus side is I no longer have to wait till my New York trips to add some additions to my wardrobe but gone is the unique appeal as now it’s accessible to everyone here in the UK. Is that selfish and fickle? Possibly but that’s also globalisation. Maybe the next step for brands is to consider how to keep the excitement of having something original and unique to that country.
Okay, so soap box moment over, the preppy retailer, J.Crew has rightly got the fashion world buzzing with the opening of their pop-up store in London’s King’s Cross and a collaboration with Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design.
This is just a taster as J.Crew will also be opening a full flagship in November on Regent Street in London’s West End.
